Re: In ear for sport up to $150

The Rock Jaw wired headphones are still one of our more highly recommended models at this time.

Their hush hush new bluetooth model is due to arrive in Australia mid April. Keep an eye on our site, we'll be putting them up within the next couple of weeks!

The Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro are an EXCELLENT choice for what you're after.

They are similar in sound style to the ATH-AD900, but much nicer. They have better build quality and comfort and are definitely a superior headphone. We highly recommend this model for your needs.

Re: Wired canalphone recommendations up to $150

At this stage we'd probably lean towards the Beyerdynamic Soul Byrd or the Fidue A65. We've had some build issues with the Brainwavz 150 unfortunately and return rates are a little high for our liking. The Soul Byrd is still a new model, so we're keeping an eye on any returns for those but so far so...

Re: Repairing MS1's - possible faulty Speaker

You can pop the earpieces open with the help of a hair dryer on hot to help melt the glue that keeps them together, just make sure to try and avoid directing the heat onto the driver, aim for the outer earcup section. We do have some replacement parts here if required. Shoot us through an email to i...

The new Fiio BTR3 is flying out the door - it's also the only portable DAC/Amp with Bluetooth that we have available. Definitely one for you to look at.

Re: open back headphones for 200$

For under $200 we would recommend to you the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700x - https://headphones.com.au/product/audio-technica-ath-ad700x-headphone/ These are not only comfortable for long periods of time due to their special headband design, but they have a great sound too. If you're able to increase yo...

Re: Looking for in-ear wireless earphones for walking/jogging ~$100AUD

If it has to be wireless, RockJaw are releasing a new model in the next month or so which will be $125. Alternately I would suggest the Audio Technica CK200BT or CKR35BT - both are decent options for the price. If it doesn't have to be wireless, I'd go the RockJaw Alfa Genus V2 :) Keeping in mind wi...

Re: ATH-AD300 & ATH-M40x

Yeah, that's just a combination of impedance and efficiency. You'll only need an amp if you're running at max volume and they aren't loud enough. A DAC is different altogether and won't increase the volume. Pads and fit can definitely change the sound - I wouldn't say it's an improvement for everyon...

Re: Headphones for Work & home

Yeah, but the diminishing returns are there. The DT1990pro is definitely a better headphone and it will scale with better equipment more than the AD900X will, but without having the really strong demands of some similarly priced but very inefficient models. Straight up improvements will definitely b...

Re: Short MMCX connector cables for Shure SE215's

We are looking at stocking the new Brainwavz MMCX replacement cables, but they are the normal length of 1.3m.

There might be a Fiio cable that could suit. We'll have to check in with our supplier to see if they have Australian stock available.

Re: Our top picks. (Help me pick the best headphones!)

Brainwavz HM5 pads fit on the DT250 - they have slightly larger cups that might make them more comfy, but also remember the headband under the padding is metal so you can flex it out to reduce their clamping pressure :) The DT250 are balanced all the way up to their high end dip, so I wouldn't recom...

Re: Headphones for Work & home

The AD900 are still a great headphone - if they're wearing out, a full set of spares should set you back less than $100. The current revision is the AD900X, but they're essentially the same headphone with cheaper build quality. The ADG1X is an AD900X with attached boom mic. If you're really keen you...

Re: Headphones for Work & home

The Audio-Technica ATH-ES770H is probably the closest to the ATH-ESW9 that we can still get our hands on - https://headphones.com.au/product/audio-technica-ath-es770h-on-ear-headphones/ The Koss ProDJ200 (not just for DJ use!) is another great option - https://headphones.com.au/product/koss-prodj200...
