Portable CD?

Hi all

I can cut all my CD's to good HQ FLAC files, seeking the best possible audio reproduction.

If I have all my CD's re cut to good FLAC files, what do I do from there?

Cheers

Re: $200 Canalphones

Hi Ben.. You've got some fantastic options there with the DT250 (as an all-rounder, very portable, nice eh ;o) and then the DT600s at the opposite end of the scale (Classical/Orchestral, sitting in the audience, etc). Both are superlative at their own end of the spectrum. Up to which you prefer the ...

Re: Need some advice please

Hi Marcus is always right, he's had the opportunity to listen to them all and I value his opinion above any others.. Both the (OPEN) ATH AD900 and the (CLOSED) Beyer' DT250's are lovelly all-rounders, the AD900's for home use mainly, but the DT250's are my first choice for portable use as well (ligh...

Re: Need some advice please

Hi It's embarrassing; you expect him(?) to be a level above you, but he's not, he's just settled on being where he is at.. You expect something superior to where you're at at the moment? But he's just hearing the best of where you were and where you cold be, nothing much more than that, perhaps? F**...

Re: Beyer C1P Pleather earpads replacements

Hi 'Pleather' is nice, or even preferable under some circumstances. I think of it as a 'vinyl' rather than a 'Felt' lining. My DT880's definitely sound better and are more comfortable (not too hot, not too enclosed or sweaty) with the felt 'pads. The vinyl 'pads create a more enclosed sound, which i...

Re: Aftershokz Headphones?

Hi It always gets in my way; don't forget that the best thing about these Aftershokz is that they will let you listen to loud music (ie loud Punk) while still being able to hear everything else going on around you, ie a car coming from behind you while your running and LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC.. ..st...

Re: ESW9 Broken... M500 good replacement?

Yep, the KEF M500's are beautiful sounding and otherwise lovely. Note that their earpads sit on your ears though rather than around them (which doesn't suit me), very nicely made though.. :smirk:

Re: Aftershokz Headphones?

You can listen to loud music but your ears/hearing still works fine, weird eh? A bit unbelievable until you try them :p

Re: Alternative earbuds to Yuin PK2s with better durability?

funkyleaves I've got PK1 and PK2's and think them pretty basic, don't use them much, more the limitation of what they are (earbuds) than the quality of their sound. Canalphones (a nuisance to fit) and Closed portable headphones are leagues ahead of what they are soundwise (and enjoyment-wise) in my ...

Re: Accurate is boring.. Something fun?

Andres If your interested in the Kef M500's check out the 80ohm DT250's as well. Tried both, the DT250's are a noticeably better fit and 'feeling' soundwise for me. The Kef's are more an on-the-ear fit which I don't like much, but are otherwise very well made and look great. It's all a mater of what...

Re: Choosing a new Etymotic.

Tried them without the filter on the side that's quieter? We can't get the ER4S any more but the ER4PT comes with the converter cable that makes them an ER4S :) The ER4PT is the ER4P with more accessories. They only come in one colour. The hf series don't sound quite as good and aren't as durable -...
