Active Speakers on a TV???

Hi guys, I'm struggling to get my head around some things. I have a spare set of speakers I don't need which just so happen to be a 2.1 active system (JBL LSR305s). I'm not getting my head around how to plug them in to anything without a computer - because the TV basically only has digital output fo...

Re: I have an album coming out today :D

Awesome, how long did it take you?

I'm working on one too but I've found a big problem - I'm really slow at writing stuff that isn't instrumental

I'll buy it and give it a listen this weekend

Beyer screw on 1/4" - all common thread sizes?

Hey guys, The school I am working at needs a few headphones. I am looking at maaybe spending the remaining music budget on getting these (unless I find some sheet music I really need). What do you recommend for a school (they will be used by kids K-10, but mostly kids who are younger, like 6-8). Now...

Re: What's your favourite music at the moment?

Not really my favourite, but I did a cover recently out of boredom. Shamelessly plugging it now. It's got bass, guitar, vocals, drums, sax all played by me

Travelling Overseas with Musical Instruments

Hi folks, Has anyone here tried to travel with multiple musical instruments? Trying to weigh up the risks, benefits and costs of transporting my instruments for a couple of years to Japan vs just taking a few and buying what else I fancy over there (though my objective is to have saved money when I ...

Re: What have you just bought?

I think BBLean is the most popular gnu/linux style shell replacement now. I just use litestep because I'm familiar with editing it. They basically do the same thing though

Re: What have you just bought?

Even though I still use windows 7 for firmware reasons, windows 8 is much better. Any argument to the contrary is baby duck syndrome (and is basically entirely centered around the start screen, which is mathematically inferior to the start screen, even for mouse movement). But I use litestep for a g...

Re: What have you just bought?

Picked up a Surface RT yesterday. They've slashed the price to get rid of them to make way for the Surface 2 and it's made them a fantastic deal. $223 for the 32gb version isn't bad. A school I was working with purchased a bunch of RTs for about $200 as well. Not the greatest machine, but for $200 ...

Re: Henry Rollins on the current state of music

I've always really admired musicians who follow the kind of release protocols he talks about. It's pretty rare to see in people who are able to ship millions of albums due to accessibility or something. Only a few bands come to mind and Kate Bush.
