KEF Headphones

I may have missed it but there don't seem to be any KEF headphones listed on the website anymore - any particular reason why or just not selling well ?

Re: Audio Cables, do they make a difference

I think better quality cables do make a difference. However, saying that, I think you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on upgrading them. For example, when I first set up my home theatre, I used a cheap cable (that came in the box with the DVD or PVR I can't remember which) to connect the sub...

Re: Headphones with LONG cords: Any recommendations?

No I wouldn't think so - even if it does, it wouldn't be by much at all. And the sound quality from the TV wouldn't really be that great in the first place anyway. Or you could have a look at more expensive cable (but that may not make much difference either) : http://www.soundtown.com.au/products/c...

Re: Headphones with LONG cords: Any recommendations?

Just get an extension cable. Most headphones I've seen have up to 3m cable length as standard. If you want something cheap, maybe these : https://www.jaycar.com.au/headphone-extension-lead-adaptor-set/p/WA7099 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/tv-accessories/connexia/connexia-x05401-3-...

Re: Open Back Headphones

This is a reply from Marcus a little while ago about mixing - I would probably be looking at closed headphones rather than open for mixing (someone correct me if I'm wrong) : Oh and don't read too much at all into graphs or frequency responses :) "Yeah for mixing I'd go something like the Beyer DT25...

Wow, joeclark has been very busy lately. Have to give him/her marks for creativity and yes you can find the right solution from the internet but not by clicking on the links at the bottom of joeclark's posts :)

Re: Australia Post Shipping Good or Bad?

No idea but I don't think this is the best place to ask considering that the forums here are for an existing Australian based headphone online store (a pretty good one I might add) which by the sounds of it you are trying to set up your own as a competitor.

Re: Our top picks. (Help me pick the best headphones!)

Well if it has to be over-ear, then something like the Beyer Custom One Pro. http://headphones.com.au/product/beyerdynamic-custom-one-pro-plus-headphone/ On ear, something like the Kef M400 which are smaller and more portable than the Beyer Custom One http://headphones.com.au/product/kef-m400-portab...

Re: Alternatiive to wireless Beats

Thats was my general view also, however with the introduction of AAC and aptx hd codecs i thought the data stream at source and destination would be the same, making it possible for wireless cans to perform as well as wired - but at a higher cost.. I would definitely buy a pair of wireless if they ...

Completely agree - don't get wireless unless you have a real specific need for them.

Re: Our top picks. (Help me pick the best headphones!)

Need a closed headphone. Around the ear. Killer sound, some bass impact. Few hundred bucks is fine, not too fussed. Used to have T70p, my memory of them was they were very good. Thoughts? Yes the T70P are fantastic (detailed, balanced and clean) but probably not recommended if you want a lot of bas...

Re: ATH-MSR7 vs Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus

Yeah I've listened to the MSR7 and even though they sound good, they are probably a bit too analytical for what you are looking for and I've heard the Beyers are more suited if you need some bass (and the bass can be adjusted as well depending how much you want).
