Meier Audio Daccord vs Audiolab M-Dac

I'm looking at possibly upping my DAC, what do you think between these two and does their sound differ greatly in character?

Re: Sub $50 IEM

Yes, I would buy them from you guys but I'm currently in Berlin now. I can get them on the cheap here though, differences between the alpha and beta

Sub $50 IEM

Well damn, I just lost my Vsonic GR06 in London and quickly need to grab a serviceable IEM on a budget.
Looking for something a bit cheaper as I wouldn't want to lose something valuable again. What's a good cheap IEM with good isolation?

Re: Wanted: Stereo Amp

I spent a huge amount of time researching stereo amplifiers and IMO your money may be BEST spent in the vintage second hand market, that is if, you can find a particular amplifier in perfect condition in your area, I would not buy anything online as you really need to hear them yourselves. The 70s/8...

Software Influencing Sound.

Hi Marcus and all other headphiles. Just wondering how you perceive digital playback programs and their influence on sound. Over Christmas someone gave me a itunes gift card which I decided to spend on a digital musical playback plug in program, BitPerfect for Mac OS X. After using it for some time ...

Whilst I have your attention, when are you expecting the vSonic Gr06 to be back in stock?

Another great documentary floating around at the moment is TPB AFK, the Pirate Bay's Documentary. Extremely insightful, something I'm sure most people on here would use every day....unless they're lucky enough to have a what.cd account.

The Matrix M-Stage Amp is just a straight copycat design of the Lehman Audio Black Cube and it apparently performs precisely as well for only $269.

Re: Matrix M-Stage DAC

I was going to suggest looking at amp options but the NAD 3150 and DT880pro (250ohm) probably go well together. I see you've previously owned the NAD 3150, how would you say it compares to sub $500 headphone amp offerings, such as the Matrix M-Stage and Meier Audio Jazz? From my testing in the stor...

Re: Matrix M-Stage DAC

I hate itunes for various reason lol, just thought I would put that out there. I happen to be quite akin to iTunes, I find the combination of the Macbook's trackpad and the interface to be silky smooth as well as it's aesthetically pleasing design. But my experience with ITunes on a PC has been ter...

Re: Matrix M-Stage DAC

From memory alone, I don't remember my DT880's sounding noticeably better through the M-Stage compared to my NAD 3150, as it's an amplifier praised for it's headphone stage by some others as well. It also has an outstanding phono stage and vinyl has been even more of a pleasure to listen to since bu...

Matrix M-Stage DAC

I've owned the Matrix M-Stage DAC for around 2 months now and have been extremely happy but as I was upgrading from a $35 Fiio DAC, I'm not really sure what other good DAC's compare other than the Cambridge Audio dacMagic 100 which I auditioned in store. Just out of curiosity, has anyone else tried ...

Re: Good Headphone Setup for $1000+

Usually, it is a better idea to split your budget into half for the headphones, a quarter on an amp and the other on your source/DAC. An all rounded set up will best any high end headphone played from a poor source/amp, your set up will only ever sound as good as your weakest link. I would also avoi...
