Re: Need Advice On New Canalphones

Don't know about the others, but I replaced my (second) broken set of RE0s with M3s and couldn't be happier. Every time I use them I'm blown away by how freakin good they are.

Re: M-Stage no sound

I don't have the m-stage, but AFAIK there's dip switches on the bottom to control gain (one set of switches per channel). As a starting point, make sure both are set to the same values. Also, make sure you try a different lead from your soundcard, and (if you have one) a different source (ipod etc)....

Goddamn this is tempting, even though from what I gather the M-Stage would be roughly on par with my O1. Ugh.

You could just take the ipod and 98% of the time not tell the difference...

Re: Q701 vs DT880

The only downside to the DT880 is that it's *not* good for rock, IMO. The flat/laid back mid-range saps the life out of a lot of rock/metal I find. Excellent for jazz/electronic though. Oh, they're not very forgiving either. (I haven't heard the 701 so can't comment there). Edit: in terms of value f...

Re: For Sale forum?

If there's one thing that keeps me coming back to Headphonic, it's the clarity of the answers from the staff :p

For Sale forum?

Hey guys,
A while back Marcus was thinking about starting an FS forum for products originally bought from headphonic. I advised against it, but now I could use it :P Did it ever come into being?

Re: Tangle free, my ass

As I said in the other thread, I'm finding the M3 cable, while not tangle free, a metric fuckton less tangly than any other canals I've had.

Re: Big Beyerdynamic re-leaunch specials!

You should ask Ben (Belial) how he much he got his  I still feel a touch guilty about not buying them from here, but at that price (second hand) I couldn't say no. And I'm very glad I didn't. Blobby: right, I understand what you're saying. But I do think it's a touch unfair to assume that just...

Really? Why's that?

DT880 has great bass response and range, and the 250 certainly isn't bass shy. The 880 are my 'go to' phones for electronic stuff.

Re: Amp for Senheiser HD555's

What do you like about the 555 sound? What don't you like? What music do you listen to?

There's plenty of options, we need more info to be able to give you any decent sort of advice. That said, Drubbing's suggestion is a good one, especially if you like the Senn sound.

Re: ~$100 canalphones for everyday use

Try different tips, but also try pulling up the top of your ear when you're inserting them - I've found that lets me get a better fit with the M3. Didn't need to do it with the RE0, but I did with my old SF3.

Or, you know, you could just add a link to the forum template.

I can't type type 'he' - plain ol 'h' takes me directly to the forums :D
