I bought myself some VS-R02's and found them having a bit too much hiss on "s" sounds. They also fitted poorly for me and gave no sound isolation. I ended up giving them away to someone who found them great. I think my earcanals are shaped weird.

I've decided to get an iPod Nano 3rd gen, and buy new earbuds for them (must be earbuds). What is the sound quality of these "updated" iPod earphones compared to the Senn MX450, and the Yuin PK3/PK2.

I'm thinking i'm either going to go for the cheap buds at under $50, or step up to something around the $100 mark.

I wouldn't expect anything from the "new" iPod buds.

I've listened to MX400s before (they were bundled with my old iriver h10), and they'd be my pick out of the Sennheiser range. The more expensive MX5xx ones are pretty muddy by comparison. Having said that, I'd take canalphones any day.

Is sound isolation important, since you complained about it with the Vsonics?

Nah sound isolation isnt important at all.

Marcus, how do the PK3 and Senn MX450 compare to each other?

The PK3 are a fair bit better :)
