Since I bit the bullet and pre-ordered the T1s, I now have a vested interest in the product, so...

It looks like Beyerdynamic have improved the comfort of their headband design and are currently offering a (free?) exchange of old for new - http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/542487/beyerdynamic-t1-s-headband-exchange

Is the stock you are getting the old or new design...and if the former, how do we go about taking advantage of this new comfort-enhancing offer?

I have just seen this specials bulletin as of the 19th of August, is the information still valid?

I ask because I am in the market for a good pair of headphones. Regarding the DT250 I have heard good things from sources I trust and I was contemplating buying them in the near future. However, I wonder if I should save longer and purchase the advertised amp DT880 package.

What are your thoughts headphonic?

(if it should prove to be a fundamental game-breaker in comparing the two, I listen to bass heavy music. UK Bass/Dub-Techno)

DT880 has great bass response and range, and the 250 certainly isn't bass shy. The 880 are my 'go to' phones for electronic stuff.

I love the way the DT250 sound with bassier music, the DT880 with a good amp sounds excellent but I'd find myself eyeing off the MSPro for that kind of budget, which I much prefer.

Sorry that was 4 years ago when i picked up a pair in Japan (they were rrp $330 at the time here though).

Still well worth it at the current price.
