What do you reckon compared to the DT250?

Better detail, clearer, more dynamic, more fun, deeper impact on bass. All round better headphone, slighly different signature, but not overly so. More comfortable thats for sure, and built quality is obviously nicer.

Minorest of gripes with T70 is putting them on, the brushed aluminium forks make it awkward to pick up. But it really really is the minorest of issues :P

Minimal. T70P just easier to drive.

Glad you like them benno, it's quite tempting to get a pair but probably not worth selling my DT250 and stuffing around.
The comfort would be a plus as well the extra detail, as long as it's not fatiguing after hours on end. I will probably look at getting the MS Pro as I find the fit ok and not listening in noisy environments.

They aren't fatigueing to me at all, though i'm not sensitive to that really.

Watch/listen 'You Rock My World - Michael Jackson', the opening beat has a reasonably high note that just kinda slams (could be way off with that description :S ). On the AD900's, this was on borderline ok for me, T70 at same volume its much less, doesn't get close to hurting/being uncomfortable. Hard to describe, I don't think you'd find them fatiguing.

How would I increase the clamp force a touch with these? I don't think bending the headband will work well, the brushed aluminim fork things articulate quite a bit at the headband so I don't think it'll affect it much. And i'm not sure I can bend the fork bits, quite thick?

Anyone done this succesfully on similar Beyers?

Yeah it is, but the headband itself is quite 'short', and a lot of the length is in the forks. I'd imagine if I bend the headband it won't correlate to much with increasing clamp. I'll try it tomorrow though.

Great way to increase clamping force, seal and therefore reduce bass leak (improving overall response)?
Get some gel pads! Got black gel pads off BHPhoto they finally arrived today. Said they were in stock a month ago but then mysteriously were on back-order for ages after I ordered...grrrr

Annoying getting them on, but the track i A/Bed before and after swapping pads = definitely hear a difference.
And feel one. The phones don't feel loose at all now, I could wear them for days on end. And I wear glasses with a fairly wide frame.

Only downside is a they're a bit cold when you first put them on, but no problem after a few mins

I'm hesitant to getting the black gels though. They are basically the clear gels with some kind of horrible acrylic paint on them. Will maybe try to source some clear gels to have a listen.

Contemplating grabbing some of the Beyerdynamic Black Gel Pads from B&H. If anyone keen let me know can maybe cut down on postage.

I don't think its paint. Few days using them now and no problems. Seal just feels perfect, no re-adjustments needed, ever. Improved sound IMO. It makes the cups deeper and the sound just envelopes your ear nicely.
Even more in love with these headphones as a result.

& yeah the postage sucks... it pained me to pay it but it was worth it IMO!

I think the clear ones would look horrible anyway
