Since were on the topic of grado/alessandro pad mods, anyone know anyway to improve comfort levels. I have bowls and comfies but they are not comfortable to wear for more than 45 min or so... Any sugestions???

Bend the headband out to releive some pressure. Scrunge the pads up to make them softer. Wash in warm water and let dry to soften them up.

Thanks, I've done all of the above but I find the foam earpads get a little bit irritating and also the comfies can get quite warm...

For the comfies cut another hole about the same size as the existing hole. Put them back on reversed so the nice neat hole is at the front.
Cuts down the warmth.
The Sennheiser pads don't get as warm - looks larger cell foam to me.
