AusPost Land Shipping ETAs?

Does anyone here have experience with shipping interstate (in this case Vic -> Perth) via land instead of air?

I bought an item (laptop) for a birthday that is in just over two weeks, expecting the item would only take a few days to get here. Howver, I've since learned that it has been posted by land instead of air and was wondering if anyone has experience of real-world delivery times for this type of thing.

So it could be 6-7 days depending on the timing, bit longer if you are out in the never never. I've found within Australia they are pretty fast. If you send parcels by sea that's when they take a bit longer (month or so more).
