The 80s rocked. In parts.

It's a shame that they didn't really get much credits for great songs like that...

Top Youtube comment:
Shroomed-out, beaded and naked forrest goblins, writhing and gyrating to enchanted sound tapestries under a full moon.

Couldn't have summed it up better myself. Not a bad song, though.

Now I have to listen to some real music so those fairies stop dancing on my desk. :D

Sorry for all of this metal. I'll post something else soon.

You old metalhead you. That is metal isn't it, or is it operatic metal, classic metal, melodic metal...? so many choices you wouldn't want to get them mixed up.

I've bee giving Number of the Beast a few spins lately. That was about my era. Also this. Who needed Ozzy? Probably Sabb's finest album.

Yes. Metal and unintentional comedy are strange bedfellows.

Dio started a lot of it with Rainbow, and even to this day, Blackmore remains locked in his own 16th Century Elfdom - he's morphed into a real life Snufkin, with pointy hat and music to match. To think, before he brought The Dio and his tassly cape on board, he was singing about casinos burning down, storms being brung and balls of speed. How the mighty can fall.

Never trust a stunted metal singer who's got a thing for dungeons and dragons. I can only imagine that's why gamers are into it. H&H contains the least silly Dio lyrics, and the runt could sing. It's all rescued brilliantly by Iommi anyway.

Here's one for the Oz. I think it's fairly reasonable to argue Metal started right here. Track 1, 1970. Sabbath's first album.

Been spinning Moby 'Play' a bit recently. Been about a decade since it was spammed mercilessly on the radio. Nice to be able to enjoy the album again.
