The suits were great, lyrics were great and a touch of Zappa-esque for Primus, too bad it's one of those bands that you like or dislike.

Oh and Les Claypool is a great bassist and he played with Buckethead.

^ Nice

Anyway, I've posted this band before and I'll do it again. Because their latest album is amazing.

Just awesome.

Playing (sort of) guitar has got me into previously overlooked guitar men.

Freddie King - big influence on Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Nice clip, and everyone seems juiced up to the tips of their 'fros.

Never got into SRV much, but a good compilation has some killer stuff on it. Very much a virtuoso in the BB King vein. But faster and louder.

If you like old style blues, it'd be hard not to like this a lot.

I've been known to jump around like a caffeinated squirrel monkey to Guero.

Make sure you do, I'm sure you'll like it. ;)

No, not really, but okay.
Yeah, I had a quick listen. Nothing outstanding to me.

I have to concur with Matt here, The Maccabees really out did themselves with this album, absolutely outstanding, definetly some of the best music I've heard and I'm sure many would agree! Here my favourite song at the moment, as you already know it's by The Maccabees...enjoy! :P

I think you might have talked it up a bit there, mate. ;)
But definitely a great album.

Anyway, here's my input:

Saw Primus last year for the first time (with support from The Melvins). An awesomely surreal night. Great banter with the crowd, especially the good natured hecklers.
I gave it 8.5 Josh Hommes on the RockterScale. Extra 0.5 for the Saladfingers cartoon playing amongst the backdrops

Elliott Smith's Roman Candle (song not album) has been stuck in my head for quite a while now. That tremolo is beautiful. I still think its his best song.

For some reason it is balls hard to find the song online.
