It's only a pity that the rest of this album isn't quite as tight and rhythmic. Good stuff though

Saw Battles at the BDO quite a few years ago now on one of the side stages without hearing them before as I was interested in what Jon Stanier was up to post-Mark of Cain.
Enjoyed Mirrored more than Gloss Drop but agree that their albums have highs and lows - Mirrored definitely loses momentum after the first 5 tracks.

There's still some really good stuff but it becomes more like good moments than good songs. Ah well, I'm glad to have Atlas and Tonto at the very least :P

Yes Pieface Yes.

But they've split up :( Devo.

Saw them at the Tivoli in Brisbane, 3 hours they played straight. Killer set.

Three songs from genres that really don't belong in the same post, but here's some variety for you.

Yeah. Read about it and hence the revisit. Great album through HP!

Been listening the Fugees The Score lately. Great album but a few tracks are spoiled by a "crackle" effect...trying to sound like a vinyl noise or something. Noticed it in a few hip-hop artists. Bloody annoying on headphones. Not on this track fortunately.

I don't entirely dislike it if it is used well and fits with the song. Mostly its annoying because its used just for the sake of it.

I just rediscovered Tool and A Perfect Circle so now I'm back wanting to upgrade my headphones. TMA-1s are great for my IDM, Glitchhop, Electro ect but they just don't do justice to Maynard's voice it really gets drowned out I'm finding.

Anyway here are my last three tracks
