Drubbing wrote:I got their Very Best comp from 94. Tracks like 'I can't tell you why' are just mint. No re-mastering will do anything more for it. The quality and clarity of the bass lines and guitars just sparkles on good gear. And we all have that...

Some daggy tunes - yes, but superlative musicians, who made sure they were heard as such on their records.

94' yes.

Sticky Fingers got remastered in 09' but the best version is the 94' Virgin release ...

so much for that "remastering job".. :/

Just checked the disk, its exactly the same as the '94 collection with the addition of one extra song from 2003, "Hole in the World".

My favourite song is still Hotel California from the Eagles, its just a masterpiece. Oh lyrics are over lets just jam for 3 mins

Yeah, its an all time classic thats for sure!

So annoyed that all I hear when I listen to "Since I've Been Loving You" by Zeppelin is the squeaky bass pedal! (sorry for ruining that for others)

I was tempted to buy the lime AKG too at one stage, luckily they were out of stock at the time. I don't trust my fashion sense at all.

Picked up a new monitor to replace my 7yo monitor.

YAMAKASI CATLEAP Q270 SE 27" LED 2560X1440 WQHD DVI-D Dual Computer Monitor
These are being discussed and getting great feedback on OCAU, $320 delivered from Korea is a steal.
Fairly basic construction and average stand, but the screens themself are pretty nice for the money - they are A- panels from LG that they use in iMacs.

With the rest of the setup, (tv tuner card working well too):

In the above pic your headphones are on a stand. Where did you get it and what kind of stand is it. (I'm looking for one)
Thanks

It was free from a Yodabashi store in Japan when I was over there. It's pretty nice for the price, haha. It's made from Perspex and wouldnt' be hard to make if someone could be bothered (lucrative business venture for Marcus perhaps).

A few people have asked, shame you can't get them for $15-20 etc.

Thanks for the reply. It's a shame you can't buy them, it looks pretty decent. Headphonic should make headphones stands. Someday...

cheers, was a long time in the making. That's just a cheapo small desk that suits the room as my other one is too big.

Wouldn't mind another stand or a longer one of those, so you can fit 2-3 pairs.

Still need to get the MS-Pros one day to accompany the DT250s, no rush I guess :).
