Was going to post something about the first ep, but don't want to spoil it for the few that haven't seen it.

I don't read fiction really (too many other books to read!) but I'm hoping there is a decent story now that the scene has been set.

This is the kind of series you don't want to stumble over spoilers for. If that makes sense.

I thought this is the last thing I'd be interested in. Funny how your day goes. I heard an old Dr Feelgood track from 1971 on the radio on the way home, it rocked. Feelgood were a huge R&B band back then, when R&B was so uncool.

I was looking up some of their stuff on the tube, and turns out Wilko Johnson, their guitarist has got the part of IIyn Payne, the executioner in GOT. Well, I never.

Check out this guy play, this is a Feelgood song, but after he quit them in '79. I've not seen a style like it - skip straight to 5 mins in. No, there is not another guitar player on stage, no overdubs - it's all him.

OK, back to your Orks...

No I'm referring to Wilko doing lead and rhythm guitar. He doesn't use a pick, so manages to strum and pick with his fingers at the same time. I'm not a complete banana - I can see there's a bass player there. But he's not pulling off any lead guitar licks.

Yeah, great news :)
Hopefully the standard will persist and we'll get further seasons. It'd be awesome to see it run through to the end, if JRRM ever finishes the books.

Eh, spent ages avoiding spoilers for the TV series, then remembered I read the books.

Pre-spoiled? Great watch anyhow. Good to see a decent book-to-TV-series conversion!

Got it by nefarious means last week, eps one through four. It's great as a fan of the books, but I imaging it would be a bit slow for the uninitiated. Can't wait to watch ep 5, with the title and knowing the books, it's got to be good!!
