You sure they aren't still operating Marcus? Pop your head in and have a look?

Want a M4 Vinyl Wrap Kit from them :(

Guessing you're not a fan of Carbon Fibre vinyl?

Was thinking either a matte plain colour vinyl or a timber veneer.

What do you reckon dingo?

I wasn't talking about the carbon fibre vinyl.

Unless you have concrete evidence that LSK are up and running and able to deliver on orders, why would you consider them?
Their previous location is occupied by a headphones store, last thing i knew they had a pretty decent list of creditors and disgruntled customers, and now you want to send them money. GLHF!

*Drumroll please*

I already have the M4's.

Would've been nice to have a pre-cut vinyl kit, but it isn't to be. I am no stoopid, not going to send money to a company that is non-existant.

As for finishes, thoughts people?

not a fan of vinyl, i would prefer a painted finish, but vinyl is cheaper and quicker

Thats cool Dingo!

Yeah I guess so.

Paint is a bit of a pain for MDF. Prime, sand, prime, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint. Bit of a mission.

Timber veneers look nice by i'm worried about the corners and edges. Vinyls seem a bit more forgiving, still unsure on the joins.

Just keep the vinyl out of direct sunlight so it doesn't fade. Hmmm mdf is a pain, haven't worked with it in yonks, just used regular timber/pine if I had to use wood.

Already working on them. So far I've sanded the MDF so its smooth and the shape I want. Tonight I gave it a good coat of primer, so they are nice and sealed and grey at the moment. Tomorrow/another night I'll sand that to a finer grit. Give it another good priming. Sand to 1200 grit, then stick the laminate on and hope for the best!

And they're done.

Cheap and nasty carbon fibre laminate. Doesn't look too bad, better than the MDF. Wouldn't do a big speaker in it, but for a smaller one it seems ok.

Still need to find an amp!! :S

So they are basically good looking paper weights at the moment.
