I haven't tested the DAC yet, but the portable is quite a nice little unit.

Hi

I am considering buying the Matrix Mini Portable for use at work primarily but then to use portably at home when needed.
2 questions:
1. Is it plug and play for Windows. It's just that I would not be able to install any drivers on my work PC if required.
2. How well would it match with Alessandro MS1's (work) , ATD-AD900's and HIFIMAN HE400's (home).

Thanks

It should be plug and play, although I haven't tested with all operating systems.
It would work really well with headphones you mentioned, although the HE400 probably needs a bit more power than a portable offers for ideal performance (see Mayflower O2ODAC).
