Headphone amp for turntable

Post by Bobbles » Fri Nov 04, 2016 7:51 am

I was looking at buying a turntable but wasn't sure how to best set it up to listen with headphones. Would either of these headphone amps be acceptable to set up an audio technica LP60 to be listened with headphones. Btw I have audio technica ath-m50x headphones. I am unsure around the benefits and connections for these

The AT amp won't work as it's designed to be run from a PC via USB.
I believe the LP60 has a built in preamp stage so the E10k should work, but you'd be better off with the A3 as it's just an amplifier not a DAC and amp :)

Please let us know what that turntable is like, I am considering buying a turntable, maybe a Pro-Ject maybe an AT like yours.
