If you got aluminium or plastic panels then this shouldn't be too hard - if you've got half a brain and some degree of hand eye co-ordination.
Avoid steel planels...... oh for the love of god, avoid steel. Steel is tough even with a drill press.
Most importantly though is the patience, which is what most people(self included), lack.
This. That is why I will now use FPE for pretty much everything. Casework takes way too much time, needing tools I don't have, to get results that I can easily get better from somebody else. I prefer to focus my time on the electronics, wiring and project functionality.
Still, if you're building a project in a Hammond box, it is very easy with a drill press or even a hand drill.
