That's just knowing how people will behave and anticipating it though
I love a good feint movement in FPS games. Duck around a corner to appear that you're taking an escape route, then double back and flank em :ninja:
Edit: SOOO good as scout in TF2!

In the FPS games I play you can usually tell where the people are by the sound their pickups make, or the environmental sounds.

I can do it with 100% accuracy in Rankin on UT2k4. :paranoid:
stuff (rarely) -> my head (sometimes) -> music (always)

the sound in bad company 2 is amazing...

on a related note, if you don't ahve sound in that game, you're at a pretty big disadvantage

Not if you are ranked 50 and Grandmaster Of Trickery:p

Enemies always repeat their mistake over and over again. But I agree that if you are new to the game, sound is very important.

In COD4, you can listen to your enemies real-time chatting......muahahahahahaxD

I still think CounterStrike was bloody annoying, even when they had Punkbuster running on the server. I defy anyone, regardless of how well trained they are, to be able to hit a human being from more than 25 metres away with a pistol. I've never seen a 'Desert Eagle', but handguns simply dont have the muzzle length to project a round over any distance accurately - I know its just a game, but being taken out by someone with a 'deagle' when you were at least a hundred yards away was just annoying. :crybaby:

You should see the ones that use the pistol crosshair then just quickly swaps to an AWP rifle and kills you with it :\

There's competitive pistol shooting events in the states that shoot targets at 200 yards, but they do use big pistols for that.

Had the same scenario as you.....but I didn't throw the nade at them, instead I drove their tank that just pop-out in their base and cannon their sorry ass xD. 3 sniper bodies and 1 assault body flew from the impact.

Bad company 2 is soooooooo much fun.

I used to play CS competitive, and each time I upgraded my headphones I thought my skill level improved and then over time it dropped back - not sure if placebo enhances gaming performance?

At really top level gaming even small advantages can make all the difference
