Nah, still confusing. Sorry, first come first serve. You have to change your name to bottlebrush or paperbark. Alternatively we'll accept your name provided you buy another K601 and give us a few months of amusing rants.

I can always allocate you some names that I think appropriate, or I could just make up new, random names?

No worries Marcus. :)
I'm actually more relieved that you guys forgot to post it rather than thinking AusPost "lost" it somewhere

i heard the DacMagic has psu over heating problems, would that have been fixed in this model, eg, venting or the like?

It's got an external PSU.

We've sold dozens and not had one fault or one complaint about heat.

Mine is only warm and the DAC has been on for hours. PSU is always plugged in and on.

IFRC, the psu issues were only related to the UK and EUR, where they had initially sourced some cheap stuff that wasn't very good. All other markets were different, as they were sourced locally.

No issues with mine, didn't the old models have internal psu?
It gets a little bit warm but never got to the touch.

My 4 year (double) warranty should cover it either way if anything ever goes wrong :)

Erm, where in that thread does it mention over-heating was an actual problem for anyone?

The issue noted is with cracks in the PSU casing, which the manufacturer acknowledged early and offered replacements.
