Hey all,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on these two similarly priced mp3 players?

I personally stuck with what's tried and true and went with the Sansa Clip+

Not sure about the Sony ones though. Were they out a long time already? If so, I haven't read much (if not any) about them :S

I've used a Sony S Series previously and currently have a Clip+.
I can't remember much for the sound of the Sony which is probably for the better since I was using cheap buds and mp3 tracks encoded to 128kbps or less.
However, the battery life was a lot longer than what I currently get from my Clip+ from what I remember.

On the other hand though, the ability to add a 32GB memory card to expand my Clip+ is great and means you can have more tunes and/or higher quality.
Also I much prefer the smaller size and ability to clip it onto a shirt or pants pocket.
Despite having to recharge it more often I definitely prefer it based purely on size and usability to the Sony.

The other plus for the Sansa player is it can play flac files if your music library is encoded as such.
I personally stick with v0 for portable use but horses for courses right.
If I can manage to find my old Walkman player maybe I could give you some comparisons on the sound quality sometime.

Two of my rockboxed sansa clips deliver amazing sounds, particularly with the precise EQ controls.

My sony e443 is sonically better than my clip (don't have the clip+). Pretty impressed with the sony e series, must say. Also has a more powerful amp section. However, no microsd extra storage option, unlike my sansa fuze's. Currently really enjoying how my new esw9's sound out of my sansa fuze.
