Turntable Cartridges.

Postby lukeroberts » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:09 pm

Hi I currently own a mid > late 1980's Kenwood 2022a Auto Turntable in perfect working condition but want to assess wether upgrading to a new cartridge in the $100>150 bracket from the factory stock cartridge is going to be a big improvement? I've just recently put in a new Deovi stylus that made a massive upscale in detail and lowering distortion.

So, Cartridges to recommend in the $100>$150 Price Bracket? Audio-Technica? Grado? Fidelity Research?

The Audio Technica AT110E has a good rep for a basic upgrade cartridge within your price range.

Okay, Thank you very much. I found a AT - 95E or $35 pounds online. Would you know how this fares with the 110E and Grado Cartridges?
