I just use the Mousewheel. What you could do though, is Right Click on All Music (in "lib" mode) then Send to autosend playlist.
This will create a playlist named "Library View" which is an auto updated playlist depending on what you last selected in "lib" mode.
Whenever I add more songs, I just re-select All Music in "lib" mode.

I pretty much create the other playlists from the Library View playlist.

Yup, marcus im back with foobar, your skin made all the difference, only down side is the spectrum is too small and useless, there aren't any frequency numbers! So thanks for telling me about it, but does anyone know how to make the spectrum better?

So I just got foobar and installed the skin which Marcus linked to, but I'm wondering if you can add a scroll bar which would make it faster to scroll through the music since mousewheel seems to be really slow? Also, my music is currently sorted as Artists -> Albums (default) but within each album they are ordered alphabetically rather than by track number. I can't work out how to change this.

They show up based on how they're arranged in the folder by filename. I had to rename my library by [Album Artist] - [No.] - [Title] with mp3tag.

The spectrum at the top's big enough imo. If you want it bigger, contacting the guy who wrote the skin might help. =/

I usually have the LIB window open to find specific tracks (or search for them), clicking in the genre/artist/album box and typing the first few letters of the result you want will work (eg: click the artists box and type in the first 3 letters (quickly) of the artist you want to look up.

Don't forget you can switch mid-window views as well, so instead of having album art previews along with the album info, you can just have it list text info which includes a scrollbar.

The spectrum I can't help you with, I generally ignore it completely :)

I love the spectrum. And the oscilloscope. I find it really interesting to watch when listening.
It's a bummer that the Foobar spectrum (from the standard skin, because I'm tough enough to have an ugly player :D) only goes down to 50hz. Sometimes songs peak at 50hz. What might be happening below that? I want to know.

I haven't really learnt how to read the spectrogram yet, but it looks like it would be fun. :smirk:
