Yeah those K540s are nice! They're my go-to headphone at work these days, still learning their sound.

Yep the K540's are a very nice sounding headphone....but very unique (both in a good and bad way) at the same time. The sound sometimes can be overly bassy....but it is something I tend to look for in headphones and I did not expect to hear it in these....but with the music I listen to that extra bit of bass is amazing! Comfort with the K540's is absolutely outstanding...in my experiences I haven't had a better experience listening to headphones with this amount of supreme comfort! Overall, the K540's are a superior headphone for the price, but as Felix is experiencing im still trying to understand the sound! But I say all of these in a very positive way...

To help you decide with your situation, I say get the ESW9 due to the fact like LOOK incredible and sound just the same, HD25's look cheap but they do isolate better which could alter you decision and DT250 are a bit pricey but have excellent sq....but I think they probably do not solve your problem.
can't stand it when a sentence doesn't end the way you think it octopus

Man, people say thew HD25s look cheap but they are tough. I doubt many headphones can survive being squashed and stuffed into a pocket while riding a rollercoaster. :P

remember that there are a few different versions of the HD25 - was it the SP model? that has a different (i.e. worse) headband than the HD25-1

either way, my experience with the HD25-1 is that they clamp larger skulls such as mine like a mofo and definitely have higher than average amounts of isolation

maybe the pair you tried were damaged or were the SP model

and yes, the HD25-1 aren't really blingy but I wouldn't call them cheap looking. kind of industrial utilitarian. it's these 2 features that make them so popular amongst the DJ crowd

Hmmm after tossing and turning, i've decided to go with the MS-Pros instead. For some reason those headphones seem really familiar, though the ESW9 do look beautiful. I forgot the reason why I was thinking about headphones for the past week was because of the ESW9.

Got my ESW9's yesterday. Really impressed by the sound quality - exactly what I wanted. And they look awesome. Bigger cups than I expected. Amazing build.

Isolation is there but minimal. I don't mind this - I like hearing a bit of outside noise and it does block some out.

The only negative is that they clamp pretty tightly and get a bit uncomfortable after wearing them for a while. But I'm sure stretching them out a bit will fix this.

Awesome!
The clamping is easy fixed and won't be an issue after a couple of days use :)

Finally got around to placing an order on one of these bad boys.

What is the expected arrival time of the next shipment?

Also, what's a good hard case for these?

Next shipment should arrive in a week or so.

We are looking at obtaining some of the ANC7 cases, which fit the ESW9 and ES7 perfectly. They should be in stock in around a month or so :)

Sweet!

Ooh! Any idea on pricing for the ANC7 cases? I'd love to get my hand on those.

I think they'll be around $30. The cases are well built and definitely worth it for keeping your beautiful headphones protected!

That's great, but now I wish I waited for them to be in stock so I could combine the shipping with the ESW9 (if the phones get in this week). :(

Munki! We have a couple of the ANC7 cases in stock. I have thrown them up on our site as a pre-order at this stage. You can order one right now if you like, and that way it will go out with your ESW9 when they come in this week :)

Thank you Megan, but do I just place an order and put a note in with my original order number as a reference/indicator?
