grev, have you seen the Australian version of 'Top Gear' ? Its even more tilted toward hairy-chested V8 muscle cars than the other editions, and they spend plenty of time on those old working class favorites, the Commode-door and Falc-hoon. You can imagine my surprise when I tuned in to see two fashionably dressed Asians in the studio audience - one was (gasp !) female - leading me to wonder exactly what they thought happened in a large shed emblazoned with 'Top Gear'. I've come to the conclusion that they thought it was a factory outlet for some seriously expensive clothes - one can only imagine what they thought of the sequence where the lads hooked a V8 up to a Hills Hoist and proceeded to spray the audience with water and wet clothing.

Way before the Commodore, Holden built real cars for real men.

My friend's brother and uncle have those classic Monaros that they use to drag at Willowbank, I think they look ok but not my favourite, obviously.

Thinking of importing a NSX...

I am not so sure about getting a sports car any more, my current v6 sometimes makes it challenging staying under 60km/h.

absolute dream car? you can't go past the Ferrari F40 but I'm not sure many of the posters in this thread are old enough to remember that...

my everyday dream car would probably be something like an AMG C63, BMW M5 or Audi RS4. Even the RS3 but it's not available here =(

I'd settle for the latest Evo or Audi S3 though

An old Holden for me: an HZ GTS Kingswood, LX SS Torana Hatch, LC GTR XU1 Torana.

Or an old Mercedes. W108 or W123 300D, W126 500SEC

Or a Porsche: 993, 928 GTS, 356C 914/6

And a Harley Road King, or Road Glide Custom.
