Now I follow, most don't go over 2.2 though, as the greater the voltage the more likely it is to impact on signal quality?

In and of itself, the sound quality of a 4.5V output might actually allow them to publish slightly better specs. But the issue will be with compatibility and usability - you're going to lose usable volume control on the amp side, and in some cases may even clip the input stage of your amp.

I do have concerns about that. But it seems like it's not to be worried.

Also for the price that I paid for it, I have nothing to complain about at all.

ok, i didn't realise that was the balanced output level, so if using single ended cables its only half that. that's fine

I think it will sound great! But lots of cabling though.

Yes but haven't tried it yet...

And I hate that it doesn't differentiate left or right...

Had the idea of... pointing the outputs to the front of you (USB input towards your body), left side is left, right side is right. :P

Also just bought a Audio-gd NFB-16, but need to get it sorted out because I believe it's DOA. :(

Its very easy to find a test track to distinguish left and right, and the windows sound interface should have a left right test feature too IIRC.

Well that's a bit shitty. Let us know how the RMA goes with other vendor. If it makes you feel better my SSD died after 3 days. Got my replacement today :).

*Sticks playing card to head*

You bought a vertex SSD. Vertex can only access Intel second grade nand at best, whilst Intel can use the best quality non enterprise grade multilayer nand in their SSDs. You can get the quality nand if you get the enterprise versions.

Hmmm my budget is stretched a bit thin... I bought a new Mazda 3 Neo, didn't quite get as much on the trade in as I wanted but also didn't get as much back on tax as I was hoping too lol. My budget calculation for 2011-12 was a new car + LCD3, however I am a bit short for the LCD3 at least at this moment. At the moment with the sales that are on, its not worth buying a 2010-2011 Mazda 3, as the prices are barely lower than the 2012 price.

Have you seen my posts on Head-Fi because how did you know it was a Vertex? :p Anyway the replacement is doing barrel rolls for me so I'm happy.

The LCD3 can wait. Cars are way more fun and more practical. Who would have thought we'd be able to say a car is more practical than something else. Jeez
