In a marked departure from traditional beyerdynamic headphone design, the striking aesthetics of the re-newed Beyerdynamic DT 1350 make it stand out from the crowd, delivering a professional, timeless quality that is both attractive and rugged.
A combination of highly efficient ambient noise reduction and an impressive maximum sound pressure level (129 dB) make the Beyerdynamic DT 1350 an ideal compact over-ear headphone for audio engineers, broadcasters, musicians and DJ’s. Regardless of whether you are a sound engineer monitoring PA systems, a broadcast engineer monitoring recoreded sound, a live musician or a DJ, the Beyerdynamic DT 1350 delivers every time.
The Tesla drivers offer an enormous degree of efficiency with extremely low levels of distortion, allowing the Beyerdynamic DT 1350 to produce a perfectly balanced, analytical sound even at the highest volumes. The removable ear cushions, combined with a flexible split headband design ensure the headphones sit securely and remain comfortable even during prolonged periods of use. The swivelling ear cups (90°) also allow “single-ear” monitoring.
A nicely detailed sounding compact headphone, the DT1350 looks and fits fantastically. With an almost all metal construction and split headband they are durable and comfortable as well. The single sided cable is nice and convenient too!
Overall detail levels are excellent, bass response is tight and responsive but not overly prominent, midrange is well presented, treble is quite forward.
Awesome if you are after high levels of detail and accuracy.
I do think, however, that the DT1350 would be a superb headphone for Techno and Electronica. The bass is tight and the pace is right. The articulation is superb and everything sounds crystal clear without being harsh or dry...
Indeed, it's very hard not to just post: Buy the DT 1350, they are full of win in every possible way. I more than strongly recommend them; I think if you're interested in headphones you should do everything within the law to get your hands on a pair to permanently add to your collection. These are the new standard for portable earpad headphones, and I suspect they'll hold that chair for a long, long time. They have my highest possible recommendation.
The DT 1350 had more heft and body, and was a little clearer...With Arcade Fire's "Reflektor" album, the DT 1350 pulled way out in front, letting more music through. I was tapping my feet and bopping my head, the DT 1350 got to me...There's not much more I can add, the Beyerdynamic DT 1350 headphones' sound and build quality are first-rate, and they're highly recommended.
