The VC-01i is a very nice sounding amp for the price with the added bonus of having both balanced input and output. Giving a nice musical, but detailed performance this amp suits a wide range of headphones. Although it doesn't necessarily have as much grunt as some models, it definitely makes up for it with finesse and makes for enjoyable listening.
