Description

The SM1 is a very smooth and even sounding headphone with excellent separation and detail that suits less bass oriented music very well. Bass response is tight and controlled, but doesn't have a great deal of weight to it, fine for rock and pop, but not great for dance/electronica.
The end result is a really quite enjoyable sound that's just nice to listen to :)
Once fitted the SM1 are very comfortable but first time canalphone users may find them a little less straightforward than some alternatives.
Isolation levels offered are reasonable, but probably not high enough for blocking aircraft noise when travelling.
